Knock Knock Jokes

My Children love knock, knock jokes! Even my youngest makes them up and giggles as he gets to the punch line…which in most cases makes absolutely no sense. We laugh anyway because he thinks it’s funny. So, I thought I would feature a few knock, knock jokes today in honor of my three little joke telling monkeys. Because you know, honestly, there are few things I enjoy more than the sound of laughter from my children!!!

1. Knock, knock
Who’s There?
Bacon Who?
Bacon A Cake For Your Birthday Day!

2. Knock, knock
Who’s There?
Juno Who?
Juno What Time It Is?

3. Knock, knock
Who’s There?
Tank Who?
You're Welcome!

4. Knock, knock
Who’s There?
Aardvark Who?
Aardvark A Million Miles For One Of Your Smiles!

5. Knock, knock
Who’s There?
Interrupting Cow!

That last one is probably my kids' all time favorite knock, knock joke. Do the kids in your life have a favorite joke or heck maybe you have a favorite one of your own you would like to share?

Yep it's that small

My husband recently purchased AppleTV, which I must admit has allowed the media computer in our house to become much more user friendly, at least it has for the electronically challenged mom in the household anyway.

AppleTV has been nice to have since we canceled our cable about about a year ago (smart move for our house and we have not missed it one bit). We now only buy/rent or favorite television series directly from itunes instead of paying for all those channels we never watched anyway. The kids are happy with Netflix instant watch which is also accessible with the AppleTV interface. Along with this comes a growing movie collection on the media computer, thanks in part to the digital copies included in our blue-ray purchases.

Easy To Use Interface

All in all, AppleTV has been a win for the family in allowing easy access within the entertainment department and saving the family from overpriced cable service. It’s been nice to save a little money in that way. Even with the the cost of Netflix service, occasional iTunes download and purchasing more DVDs, I would say we save well over half of what we were paying to the cable company.

This little spiel about our new media set up got me thinking about the movies that I don’t own, but wished were part of our media collection. I am positive I could come up with 100’s of titles(I love movies)but I figured 10 was a good number to start with. To clarify, these are only movies I would watch over and over again! I don’t like to buy a movie I haven’t seen for that purpose. I say rent first and buy only if you love it. That is my movie motto.

10 movies I wished I owned are….drum roll please

1. How To Train Your Dragon

2. Love Actually

3. The Wizard of Oz

4. Due Date

5. The Shawshank Redemption

6. The Last Unicorn

7. Frequency

8. A Time to Kill

9. The Butterfly Effect

10. The Illusionist

What movies would make your list of movies worthy enough to gain the honor of being rewatched?
A speical side note in small print: My husband was right and I was wrong. I love AppleTV! See I can admit that I was wrong confused!

Bookshelf Makeover

I am in the long process of making over my master bedroom. I have been approaching this project little by little. I am terrible at home design. It is something I did not inherit from my Mother, who is actually really great at putting a room together. Anyway, here is my little attempt to makeover a very standard undesirable bookshelf. See I am a reader, writer, and collector of notebooks, so a simple bedside table just doesn't make the cut. A bookshelf next to my bed is a must have and the brown just wasn't working for me.

So with a little textured wallpaper, black paint and old book of sheet music this is what I came up with.....

Now if only I had time to work on the rest of the room.

Happy Mother's Day

My children seem to be be growing up way to fast in my opinion this is both scary and exciting. However as a result of them growing up I find myself working even harder to lock away priceless memories for safe keeping. It is also probably the very reason I find myself boo-hooing during Toy Story 3 when Andy ventures off to college. While the college years even the high shcool years are still in the future for my boys. I have taken notice of the years speeding by, and how the future has away of sneaking up on you. Childhood is precious and short lived. So this Mother's Day I hope all you mommies out there got the chance to soak up some of your own memories with your offspring! Happy Mother's Day Ladies!!!

Bunny Ears On Mother's Day

There are few things sweeter in this world than seeing the words "Mom I Love You" scribbled out in your child's handwriting!
